Hail to the champions Société Générale for an extraordinary performance and winning the VPL 2011 tournament.

Teams from Accenture, CISCO, IBM, Kingfisher, P & G, Société Générale, Syniverse and Target participated in the Vibha Premier League. The host school, Abhyadhama also had a team and gave a spirited performance to reach the Second round by defeating Kingfisher team in the first round. Target, CISCO, Société Générale and Dazzlers-Accenture made it to the semifinals. Vibha premier league champions Société Générale successfully defended 107/3 in 10 overs against a strong Target batting line up in the finals.

‘Maximum Sixes’ award was won by the Target team captain Srinivas Jayaram for his 10 sixes in 4 matches. ‘Man of the series’ award was won by Amit Kumar of Société Générale for his all-round performance; he scored 76 runs and took 7 wickets. The highest score of the tournament was 141 which both Target and Société Générale scored in the Semi-final and First round match respectively. All the matches were very close and contested with great spirit, but the team batting first appeared to have an advantage as 8 out of 12 matches were won by the team batting first.
