Vibha in association with Alpha Math Station is organizing Houston’s 1st Math Challenge. Participate in this competition and help a child in need.

  • To provide a challenging, engaging mathematical experience, that is both competitive and educational to every child participating and promote math education.
  • To give every participating child an opportunity to make a difference and help better the lives of millions of underprivileged children world wide

  • Vibha is a non-profit organization that aims at ensuring every underprivileged child attains his or her right to education, health and opportunity.
  • Alpha Math Station is Houston’s premier math learning center for KG to 8th Grade students. Through the Alpha Math learning method students build a strong foundation for success in Algebra and other higher level math courses.

Children between age 7-13 (2nd to 7th grade). This competition is open to all children that are residents of Houston TX. Awards are excluded to children who are related to the organizers.

  • Batch A – 6th & 7th graders – 10:30 AM
  • Batch B – 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders – 11:30 AM
  • Prize distribution at 12:30 PM

The contest will adhere to a short answer format. The competition is designed to engage students with modest background in problem solving while still stretching the best students in the city.

[edit] Registration

Registration fee to participate in this event is $5 per child. All proceeds collected from the event will go to charity. In addition to the registration fee each participant is encouraged to donate a book new or old as a gesture of giving to other’s not as fortunate as themselves.

Note:We have received enough registrations for grade 2. We won't be able to accept on the spot registration for grade 2.

Each participant receives a certificate of participation. The first three highest scorers in each batch will receive trophies with Certificates of Merit. The Highest scorer in each Batch will receive a grand prize and will feature on the event website.
