Celebrating Holi… Making a Difference
Holi is a Hindu festival where you play with colors and people celebrate alongside their loved ones.
This year, Atlanta Vibha Youth has decided to collect cans and donate them to the local food bank. We chose NFCC (North Fulton Community Charities), and all proceeds will be handed over to them.
Collection period – Month of March 2015
Service Hours Received: 1 hour of every 7 cans collected

Not only for Youth members: The drive is initiated by the youth group but all supporters can contribute to that. Please stop by to drop off your donation/collection on our drop off days.
Drive Through drop off : Volunteers would be waiting in the parking lot of Ocee Library (5090 Abbotts Bridge Rd. Johns Creek, GA 30005) to take the donations.
Event: Local volunteering at Meals By Grace

Who can Volunteer? We can take 25-40 volunteers age 13 and above.
Details: This event is planned by Northview High School Vibha Club, for Atlanta Vibha Youth members. Meals by Grace is a soup kitchen and we will be packing, preparing, and distributing food to needy families. For more details

Celebrating Diwali… Making a Difference
Diwali is a Hindu holiday where lights are lit and people celebrate alongside their loved ones. It is similar to Thanksgiving and Christmas in the sense that gifts are given, families gather, and people show their selflessness by donating to the less fortunate.

Children's Restoration Network's (CRN) Wrap Party Goal: Improving the lives of Metro Atlanta's homeless children and mothers.
Who have we chosen to support?
Children's Restoration Network (CRN) is committed to Improving the lives of metro Atlanta's homeless children and mothers since 1993. One of their initiatives every holiday season is to help ensure that over 2,300 homeless children in Metro Atlanta have a memorable and meaningful Christmas.
How can I support?
Volunteers will sort, wrap, and personalize the gifts CRN has collected. You're welcome to bring your own wrapping paper, Scissors, and tape.

Books For Africa is the largest shipper of donated books to the African continent. Since 1988, Books For Africa has shipped over 20 million high-quality text and library books to 45 African countries. Millions more are needed. It costs $9,800 to send a sea container to most major sea ports of books and computers to Africa.
How can I support?
Volunteers sort and pack books according to category and age level. No heavy lifting is involved. Volunteers should be at least 12 years old with adult supervision.

How can I support?
Vibha Youth volunteers will help "MedShare International" in sorting and packing medicines and medical supplies to be sent to developing countries.

The program was created to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness and to increase resources for organizations working to prevent and end homelessness. Hundreds of people will volunteer their time and services at 20 organizations in seven metro Atlanta counties on December 6th, 2008. This is made possible by the collaboration of the following community partners: United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, Hands on Atlanta and Fannie Mae Foundation.
Who have we chosen to support?
"HomeStretch" intervenes early in the stumble towards homelessness by helping local homeless families overcome their housing crises and return to self sufficiency by providing short-term transitional housing in combination with an individualized support program including mentoring, money management and life skills development.
How can I support?
Volunteers will help maintain the integrity of Homestretch’s housing by painting the exteriors of 10 duplexes or raking leaves in the yeards. No special skills necessary, just show up on time and have a great time helping out.
