Registration starts at 6.15 AM. 10K/5k Run kicks off at 7.30AM. 2k Walk starts at 9.30 AM.

How do I register for the Dream Mile?
Register online. Please check back again.
Register at the venue on the day of the event at 6:15AM.
Register by mailing in a completed registration form. Please check back again.
Send us an e-mail for more info.

Can I register/pay on the day of the event?
Yes, it is possible to pay on the day of the event. However, we prefer if participants pre-register since that will give us an idea of the expected number of participants.

Is the registration money refundable?
we are unable to issue refunds in case you can not turn in for the race or if the race gets canceled because of weather condition.

Where will packet pick-up take place?
Packet pick up will take place at Finish Line Sports(13895 SW Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478), on Friday 4th November 2011 from 10:00am-5:00pm. Packets can also be picked up on the day of the event at the registration booth.

How does The Dream Mile 5K/10K work?
Runners of all ages can participates in 5K/10K competitive race. No registration fee for Children below age 12 but they must come with parents. 2K Fun walk is not a competitive walk. The Dream Mile 5k/10K 2010 is a Race with USATF certified trail and chip timing.

What do the participants get? All participant will receive T-shirt. Winners in each category will receive a prize.

How long are the courses?
The 10K course is 6.2 miles, the 5K course is 3.1 miles, and the 2K is 1.15 miles. 5K/10K race are competitive.

How will I be timed?
The 10K/5K run uses an electronic chip timing system that records race time and place via a disposable transponder tag.Each individual competing in the 5K/10K race is required to place the tag on their shoe. Official times will not be recorded without a tag.

When and where do I pick up the tag for the 5K/10K?
The timing chip/tag will be provided in the race packet. Chip will be given with your bib number that need to be transferred to a running shoe on race day.

How will I receive my results?
Official results will be posted on the Web site on race day. Upon request we can provide your timing through email.

What if I need help along the way?
There will be volunteers along the race course to assist runners who need emergency helps.

Can I participate in the 10K, 5K or 2K walk with my dog or baby stroller, or can my child bring their scooters/skateboards?
The safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets, baby strollers, stakeboards or scooters on the 5K and 10K run course. We do have a 2K fun walk that you can push a baby stroller in, however, no pets will be allowed on the 2K walk too.

Can my kids participate?
Yes. Given that Vibha’s vision is to provide a brighter future for underprivileged children, it makes perfect sense to get your children involved. However, parental discretion is advised for distances.

Can I wear headphones while running?
Part of the running course includes street roads so if participants have headphones on, they would not be able to respond promptly to an emergency vehicle or miss specific race instructions.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?
Unless the weather conditions threaten the safety of participants, the race is on, rain or shine.

What will be provided after the race.?
Refreshments will be offered free to all participants that includes breakfast items.

What is a Pledge?
A pledge is an amount that is donated by an individual who wishes to support our cause.

How can I raise pledges?
Please check back again.

Are pledges a must?
No, they are not a must, but pledges are a very important part of the Run/Walk. Pledges constitute a significant portion of the funds raised through the Run/Walk. Pledging is one way of showing you support the cause. Becoming a fundraiser is another – not only are you saying you wish to support the cause , but you also help us spread the word by trying to involve your friends and family.

How is the money raised through pledges used?
The money you raise through the pledge drive is used to directly fund child development projects.

I cannot participate in the 5K run, can I donate instead?
We would love your participation. But, we welcome your donation and are very much thankful for it.


Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Receipts will be mailed to your house.
