[edit] Disclaimer/ Rules

1. Adults and kids must adhere to age limitations mentioned above. Cut off date for age is Jan 1st, 2009
2. Participants below the age of 18 will need to provide a written consent form from parents for participation in the event.
3. All rounds will be recorded on video. By registering for the event, the participants agree to allow Vibha to use these videos as deemed fit by Vibha.
4. All registration fees/proceeds will be used to fund projects in India to improve standards of living and education for underprivileged children.
5. Participants will have to provide their own music for all rounds in the event. Music must be on a CD. CD player will be made available for participants.
6. Qualifying rounds will not be judged based on participant’s costumes.
7. Teams will NOT be provided with Dandia Sticks for the competition. Teams have to get their own.
8. Size of the team (# of team members/participants) CANNOT be changed once registered.
9. Registrants must pay the fees on the day of the auditions.
10. Registrations will be closed 24 hours prior to each qualifying round.
11. The top and bottom scores from Judges for final score calculation will NOT be considered.
12. Duration of song for the Qualifying rounds CANNOT exceed 3 minutes
13. Duration of song for the Semis and Finals CANNOT exceed 5 minutes.
14. Each group will get 1 minute to introduce themselves if they wish prior to the start of the performance
15. No colors, objects, paper confetti, grains or particles allowed, which can injure bare feet(Semis and Finals)
16. No Glass bangles on the stage(Semis and Finals)
17. Dance choreography must be at least 70% of Raas or Garba. 30% can be fusion/bollywood. 10 points will be deducted if the choreography deviates substantially from these guidelines.
18. All decisions are at the discretion of Vibha and are final.
