[edit] How is the money raised through pledges used?

The money you raise through the pledge drive is used to directly fund child development projects. Part of the proceeds will also benefit Make a Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama.

Yes. Receipts will be mailed to your house.

[edit] How does The Dream Mile 5K Walk/Run work?

Walkers and runners are all ages and participants can walk as individuals, families, groups, work teams and more. There will be a high-energy warm-up before the start of run and walk. Refreshments are available before the Walk and Run and throughout the course, and volunteers are stationed along the Walk route to insure that walkers stay on course. The Atlanta City Police provides traffic control along the route.


[edit] Can children participate?

Definitely! This is a very family friendly event and attracts walkers and runners of all ages! Given that Vibha’s vision is to provide a brighter future for underprivileged children, it makes perfect sense to get your children involved. Strollers are welcome too!

[edit] Are there any kids activities planned?

We will have a 50m dash for kids in different age categories. There will also be several other kids activities in the kids area.

How do I register for the Dream Mile?
Register online.
Register by mailing in a completed registration form.
Send us an e-mail for more info.
Register at the venue on the day of the event at 7:30AM.

Can I register/pay on the day of the event?
Yes, it is possible to pay on the day of the event. However, we prefer if participants pre-register since that will give us an idea of the expected number of participants.

[edit] Beneficiary Profile

The mission of the Door Step School(DSS) is to use innovative programs to bring education to the poor children in urban areas.

DSS conducts classes close to where they live or work. It identifies communities, like migrant workers' children, street children, fishermens' children etc, and tries to establish Non Formal Education classes for them.
