Timing Rules :
1. In order to be timed, you need to be registered before 7.30 am.
2. Your numbered bib should be pinned to your T-shirt on the front, while arriving at the finish line.
3. Indiviual timings and ranks will be done by a professional timing company and will be final.

Course Description :

5K Trail: Map
The path for the 5K starts from the main Parking Lot area onto to the "Hotel Trail", crossing over the San Filipe creek on the bridge on "Barn Trail" and catching the return loop of the "Snell Trail" before the home stretch. Overall the trail has a couple of gentle hills and dips dropping from 1500 ft at the starting point to 1440 ft at the lowest point on the trail and finally climbing over a hill at 1667 ft before ending back at the start point. Excellent views of the San Filipe valley, barns, creeks and Mt. Hamilton with its white observatory are awaiting runners.

10K Trail: Map
This is a 6.2 mi loop starting from the main Parking Lot and meandering around in the SW direction; turning around and going downhill on the "Canada de Pala Trail" crossing the San Filipe stream and returning back to the starting point with a slow climb back. Starting at 1500 ft, you climb up just one steep hill over 150 ft over a short 0.4 mi stretch before dropping down to 1387 ft at the lowest point near the creek and climbing upto 1650 ft over a 2 mile stretch and finally dropping back 150 ft to the end point. The whole trail is set in a very green and beautiful park with wonderful vistas of the valley, barns with a clear view of the Mt Hamilton Observatory to keep you company.

The trail for the Half Marathon is essentially looping twice through a 6.55 mi trail set in a very green and beautiful park with wonderful vistas and view of the Mt Hamilton Observatory. Starting from the main Parking Lot and the Registration area at 1500 ft, you head out generally in the SW direction on the "Hotel Trail" and downhill dropping to 1387 ft at the lowest point and also just past the half way mark around one loop. You turn around on the "Canada de Pala Trail", cross the San Filipe stream and climb back to the finish/start point and covering 120 feet or so of vertical climb over a 3 mile run on the "San Filipe Trail". The only steep grade on the whole trail is just after first 2.5 miles where you climb a vertical 150 feet over a short 0.4 mile distance.


Carnival :
The Carnival is a fun-filled event that lasts until noon. Bring your kids along to enjoy a wide variety of games and activities - face painting and Mehndi.

Parking :
Limited parking available at the park, please carpool as much as you can. City charges $6 for parking, please bring exact change.

The mission of the Door Step School(DSS) is to use innovative programs to bring education to the poor children in urban areas.

DSS conducts classes close to where they live or work. It identifies communities, like migrant workers' children, street children, fishermens' children etc, and tries to establish Non Formal Education classes for them.
