ShaChi Group, now based in Northern VA, has been active in the light music field and cultural activities for quite some time in CA, IL, MD, NJ and NY. For the Vibha DC Disco Dandia 2009 event, its artists are: Dick-Chitra Sharad, Kartikeya Tripathi, Abhijeet Panse, Ram Mistry, Harish Patel, Kevin Henkek, Neha-Neti-Alpa Sharad, Urvi Mehta, and Medha Yajnik

The Sharads, founder and core members of the group, come from a Gujarati Nagar family where music has been a tradition, a way of life. They have given performances on stage, radio and television in India, US and elsewhere. They have produced audio cassettes of selections from their live performances, and studio-recorded stereo cassettes/CDs, like Sa-Ras Garba, Hriday Zankar, Mahol-e-Ghazal, and Swaraanjali with traditional folk, devotional and light music melodies.

During 2001-2006, they organized/conducted many cultural shows in Bakersfield, CA. They gave a 2-hour, Janmashtami 2007 bhajans program at the Durga Temple, Fairfax, VA. During Navratri 2007, they held two raas-garba programs with Dipesh Desai, a well-known Music Director of Gujarati films/TV. In 2008, they conducted a Dandia Nite under the auspices of the India Literacy Project.

DJ Jatin has been the DJ of choice for Vibha's Dandia event for the past 2 years.

Jatin's passion for music developed at a very early age. Born in India and raised in Washington DC area, Jatin was exposed to a vast variety of music. At home, he would listen to his mom play tracks from old Bollywood Movies, and outside with his friends, he was jamming to hip hop, bhangra, pop, R&B, and etc.

During the last couple of years of high school, Jatin's enthusiasm for music only led him to make friends with the local DJs and he started to assist them on weekend events. Soon after high school, he had saved up enough money to purchase his own equipment and went solo. Today, Jatin has established a remarkable reputation in the Tri-State area as a superb disc jockey.

With over ten years of experience, Jatin has done events with 50 to 4000 people. He specializes in Indian and inter-racial Wedding/Receptions, Birthdays of all ages, Graduations, Corporate events, Cultural events, and Live Bands.
